About the exhibition space
A couple of times a year we tidy out the sheds and mount an exhibition of art works with items from our museum collection in support of community events.
What we are trying to do:-
Create a gallery which has a rural focus because of its location, structure and function
Only use buildings and building materials which sit well in our Lost World landscape
Promote a standard of art which is popular, but will stand up to critical analysis
Develop this area into a precinct which could also be used for accommodation, artists’ workshops, residences or retreats
The exhibition space is located in a cluster of old huts, sheds and outbuildings relocated here to Lost World over many years from the surrounding district. We have saved them from demolition because they represent the rich and diverse cultural aspects of the district.
