~ Featuring 13 Amazing Workshops ~
The Ancient Arts Revival is an event extending over four days, held annually in late September, at Garden Hill in the Lost World Valley in south-east Queensland. The concept developed from another local festival, a single day event also held annually in May, called Arts in the Olives.
By providing 3 and 4 day workshops, the Ancient Arts Revival offers a unique opportunity for art workers, teachers, students and people with an interest in the arts and crafts, an opportunity to develop skills and expertise in disciplines in danger of becoming lost.
These workshops will culminate in an Exhibition Day, held on the final day of the event, when the public is invited to visit Garden Hill to view the results of the workshops and enjoy additional festivities. Children’s workshops will be operating on the day.
At the Exhibition Day, September 30, tutors and students engaged in the final day of their workshops will be joined by various other artists, performers, musicians, stall holders and bush craftsmen demonstrating their skills.
Visitors will be invited to visit workshops, ask questions and enjoy seeing students’ work either completed, or in its final stages of refinement and being prepared for display. Local artists will be invited to join the tutors and display their work in a designated Artspace.Exhibitions, demonstrations, food and wine tasting, craft stalls and music should provide something for everyone to enjoy.
