Garden Hill at Lost World
Garden Hill is a small property in the Lost World Valley about 90 minutes travelling time south of Brisbane and a similar trip west from the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. Old farm buildings have been relocated to the property and adapted for use as exhibition space, historical displays and a small café.
Plans Underway for 2012 Ancient Arts Festival
Plans are well and truly underway for the 2012 Ancient Arts Revival. This year’s program of events offers some new, unusual and exciting workshops, covering a wide range of arts, crafts and bush trade. One focus for this year is our local youth, and providing places and opportunities for young people to participate in the Ancient Arts Revival is a high priority for organizers. We are also hoping to include an Artist in Residence component into our calendar of events. Details of workshops and other aspects of the event will be posted as soon as possible.

The Ancient Arts Festival 2011
Ancient Arts Festival... This year, Garden Hill at Lost World Gallery and Museum is hosting an Ancient Arts Revival, an exciting event extending over four days from September 21to 24 2011. Three and four day workshops have been organized in the following disciplines: Whipmaking, Spinning, Dyeing, Weaving and Felting, Pastel Drawing, Sandstone Carving, Horn and Pewter, Bookbinding and Boxmaking and a Master class in Blacksmithing. This event offers an exceptional opportunity for art workers, teachers, students and people with an interest in the arts and crafts to develop skills and expertise in disciplines in danger of disappearing.
These workshops will culminate in an Open Day Exhibition on Saturday September 24, when the public is invited to visit Garden Hill and view the results of the workshops and enjoy additional festivities.
